🎞You’d have to be living under a large boulder if you haven’t heard of
Red Table Talk. Just by chance that you haven’t heard about the show, allow me to give you the 411 about the ingenious idea for Jada Pinkett Smith to partner with Facebook (Facebook Watch) to present a web television talk show on the world’s largest online network on a weekly basis. Red Table Talk is a huge success and it began less than six months ago. Jada is joined at the red table with her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris and Jada’s cerebral (use of intellect rather than intuition)18-year old daughter, Willow Smith—the two most important women in the actress’s life. The show opener debuted on May 7, 2018. “It was announced a month later that Facebook ordered 13 additional shows.” The new episodes started on October 22, 2018. The show was receiving great reviews and it didn’t hurt that over a million viewers were watching regularly with anticipation for the next episode. The show has
jaw-
dropping episodes and the conversations include no filter.
Voilà! Now that you know that a whole lot of people think it’s a hit show, here are some details that will prepare you for one of the most talked about shows today:
📽 First, You need a
Facebook account. Searching online for episodes will disappoint you. There is no recording (such as YouTube) of a complete episode—only a short clip. A complete episode’s running time is 16-27 minutes.
🎞 The shows are recorded in the family home.
📽 Table Discussions Have Been About: Motherhood, Surviving Loss, Divorce, Drug Addiction, Friendship, Domestic Abuse, Racism, Ending Rumors About The Smiths, including the untruth that they practice Scientology, and much more.
🎞 Celebrities Leah Remini, Cesar Millan, Sheree Fletcher (Jada’s husband’s ex-wife), Tiffany Haddish,Toni Braxton, Jane Elliott, Jaden Smith (Jada’s son), Cookie Johnson and son EJ Johnson, and Gabrielle Union have had intimate conversations at the red table on previous episodes. Will Smith, Jada’s husband,
bravely sat at the red table during one of the episodes and like any other guests, his emotions became raw as he talked about divorce was not an option for him and Jada and their decision to redefine their marriage. Brad Pitt is scheduled to join the ladies for one of the episodes.
📽 Jada, Adrienne and Willow do not hold back with having conversations about their own past struggles. There is one evident common denominator for the three generations of women; they don’t hold back their tears while sharing their personal experiences.
They keep it real. They share the good, bad and the ugly with their audience. Sometimes, they (themselves) are surprised at one another’s
reveal.
🎞 Jada concludes each show with reading and responding to a few questions received by viewers. Then, she closes with words of
encouragement and
wisdom.

Check out the show! It’s unlikely that you won’t find it intriguing and perhaps relatable at times.
🏆 Red Table Talk has been nominated for the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Daytime Talk Show. I think it just may be the first of its kind nominated for such a prestigious award that airs via web television—Facebook Watch network.
