*Women have accomplished so much but there is so much more to be done. Nothing can be accepted less than the same rights and opportunities as men across all sectors in society. Women, we certainly need each other for leadership and support but we also need men to be on board with us. We appreciate their support. Males who are business owners, politicians, managers and decision-makers in general should lean in and promote gender equality. I suggest that the conversation begin at home as parents of girls and boys. Parents can begin the invaluable influence of teaching their children the importance of males and females receiving equal treatment. When they become adults, the purpose will be instilled in them that men and women can only thrive as equals on any stage in society.

How can the future for women be different if we don’t change the narrative today? We
cannot settle for mediocre nor accept the status quo. We cannot rest on our laurels and become so lackadaisical that we put the next generations in jeopardy of being in the same boat of inequality.
